POETRY!!!

It's a new week and i'm feeling better than the last so, i figured i better start out the week with a little cheer. I missed my blog yesterday because our electricity went off. The transformer acts up sometimes like that. Mother was around so the night wasn't so bad. I miss her now that she's returned home. Anyway, back to poery...
I particularly fell in love with "The Mesh" by Kwesi Brew a Ghanian poet the first time i read a book on collection of African Poetry. I was really young then but it touched me in a strange way and i just never forgot the words...
"We have come to the crossroads,
and i must either leave or come with you.
I lingered over the thought but in the darkness of my doubt,
you lifted up the lamp of love and i saw in your face, the way i should take."
After reading this, i wondered if i could put my own feelings down simply with few words accurately and precise. In short...poetically. I did for the first time and i titled it "The blue Sea" sort of funny... i know. I was a young girl who read a lot of Nora Roberts' books, my imagination was wow! The poem was really amateur it read
"Tired and dejected i sat at your bank
on the stones that are as white as snow they look like diamond
the breeze from your waters dry away my tears
the torrent of your wave keep the smile on my face
The blue sea, Oh  the blue sea.
You dry my tears, make me forget my sorrows,
Make me forget my sorrows, put a smile on my face and keep me excited always
I'll always cherish you BLUE SEA."
Over the years, i got better. My best poems were when i'm either excited or really sad. I write when i see a word i like, or i here a sentence and i can't let go of it or i'm bored and i want to remember the feeling at that moment. The poem i love most of all i wrote for the one i love, its titled  "I guess you know". I wrote it after i fell in love with him. It may not be the best of my poems but its cherished because i wrote it in love, i still feel thesame way whenever i see him, whenever i read it and whenever i hear of him.
I guess you know, what is in my heart
my every second is filled with you,
                                my today and tommorows too.

I guess it shows, the loneliness within my heart
i tried to hold back but my world is undone
old wounds i fear the sting of love might ignite
but in the moment a tear falls, all hatred becomes a distant blur

I guess you'll stay, though i sit and stare wondering what fate has in store.
Loving again i dare, though a choice i did not have.
You probably know, i can love you with all that i am.

If you have a gift or just the urge to do something good and right, do it. You might just be developing yourself for greater things in the nearest future. Those who have gone ahead started from somewhere before they achieved amazing results that brought them into limelight. For me, it's all about the love, the joy, the peace, the fulfilment, the contentment. Have a great week.
